I have to say that looking at the Wikipedia definitions is frightening.I had no idea that there could be such specific definitions:Nerd: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NerdGeek: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeekPerhaps ‘Dweeb’… a synonym for Nerd or Geek: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dweeb is a better ‘one size fits all’ name.Anyway if you want to know if you are really a Geek, you need to take the test: http://www.innergeek.us/geek.html I look forward to hearing about any results…

I have, although I had forgotten. I think Mr Coupland and I really think in a similar way in a, to me, spooky way. I’m sure he’s not worrying about it!I would re-read my copy but I, honestly, lent it to a woman who turned out to be a high class call girl and she never gave it back.Just to be clear I was an acquaintance of hers rather than a customer.

You should read Douglas Coupland’s Microserfs if you haven’t already. The characters in that have a very similar definition of both terms.
